Tour single for UK dates, early 2016

Title: ‘The Arp / What Light (Never Goes Dim)' Release date: Feb 15th 2016 Format: lathe cut edition eight inch record

Van 300. Yes the 300th release from Static Caravan needed to be something amazing and these tracks from emerging light Aidan Knight are just the audio the Caravan Family needed to dream up a hand cut, hand packaged 8” record for tour only purchase.

Aidan Knight hails from Victoria, on the far west coast of Canada. Although Each Other is his third album, it’s the first to be released in Europe. Each Other was recorded at Bathouse, with Marcus Paquin (The National, Local Natives) on production. The band and Paquin were meticulous with each song, piecing together the raw energy of the live show along with the layered textures that could only be captured in the studio. The 8 tracks which make up Each Other have been described as “breath-taking…his forlorn baritone suffused with a world-weariness that suggests a singer twice his age and experience” by Uncut and “he packs together the bittersweet melancholia of Sufjan Stevens, the lush arrangements of Andrew Bird and the wistful vocals of Jeff Buckley” by Loud & Quiet.

Aidan heads out on tour with Half Moon Run across the UK in March as well as a full headline tour in May, full dates on http://aidanknight.com/

This is a 78 edition 8”record, lathe cut by Phil Macy in a sleeve designed and assembled by Ben Javens, for sale exclusively at shows by Aidan Knight.
